PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 3, 2016-- Radian Guaranty Inc., the private mortgage insurance subsidiary of Radian Group Inc. (NYSE: RDN), today announced the three year extension of its exclusive partnership with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals ('NAHREP'), the nation's largest housing industry trade group for Latinos. With this partnership, Radian will continue to help NAHREP's 20,000+ members to better serve Hispanic homebuyers and ease the home buying process.
With the mutually agreed renewal of the partnership, Radian will educate NAHREP members and lenders alike about private mortgage insurance by further developing the nationwide training program through on-demand training, in-person informational sessions, and video and interactive webinars.
'Over the past two years, Radian and NAHREP have made important inroads into educating the Latino community on how to navigate the home buying process. As we go forward together, we are confident our combined efforts will be part of the solution in helping to advance this community of four million home seekers transition from the increasingly unaffordable rental model to home ownership,' said Brian McMahon, Radian's Chief Franchise Officer.
Since it was established in October 2013, the strategic partnership between NAHREP and Radian is credited with implementing the following initiatives:
Regional and national training engagements through NAHREP across a network of over 30 local chapters
Enrollment of over 100 lenders, community banks and credit unions with Radian and NAHREP
Comparative tutorials of Conventional vs. FHA promoting expanded conventional mortgage (private MI) options for NAHREP members and their customers
Title sponsor for annual Top 250 Latino Mortgage Loan Originator report recognizing best in class professionals serving Hispanic home buyers
NAHREP's support for policy positions
'NAHREP is proud to continue our association with Radian for a new three year term,' said Gary Acosta, co-founder, NAHREP. 'Radian has proven a great resource for our professionals who, by applying what they've learned about mortgage options and innovative financing solutions available to low down payment borrowers, are helping ease the home buying process for the increasing numbers of Hispanic Americans seeking to achieve the dream of a home of their own.'
The renewal of this partnership comes at a time of rapid growth in the number of Hispanic households. According to the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, Latinos are expected to constitute 40 percent of the 17 million new households formed from 2010 to 2025.
