William S. Antle Iii – Oak Industries (oak)

WILLIAM S. ANTLE III has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Oak Industries Inc. a leading supplier to manufacturers in the telecommunications industry, since December of 1989. He was elected as Chairman of the Board at the Oak Industries Annual Stockholders Meeting in May 1996. From 1980 to 1989, Mr. Antle was at Bain and Company, an international strategy consulting firm, most recently as Executive Vice President. He held administrative responsibility for one of five new operating groups established to run Bain and Company's North American consulting practice. From 1973 to 1980, Mr. Antle was with Cummins Engine Company, the largest independent manufacturer of diesel engines with annual sales of approximately $3 billion. He served as Cummins General Manager for a four-plant complex in the United Kingdom. Currently, he serves on the boards of ESCO Electronics Corporation, GenRad Inc., and Nvest Companies, L.P. Mr. Antle is a graduate of the Naval Academy and holds an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
