Holger Juergensen – Aixtron Ag (aix)

DR HOLGER JUERGENSEN is the President of Aixtron AG. He received his M.S. degree in Physics in 1981 and the Ph.D in 1985, both from the Technical University of Aachen, Germany. Between 1981 and 1986, he was senior staff member in MOCVD and epitaxy research at the Institute of Semiconductor Technologies at Aachen University. He was awarded for Technology Transfer in 1986 by the German Federal Secretary of Culture and Science, and for Innovations in 1988 by the German Minister for Research and Technology. He is author of over 100 scientific papers, mainly on MOCVD. He is member of the DEKK, SEMI, SPIE and MRS. In 1983, he co-founded AIXTRON. From 1983 to July 1997 he was President and Technical Director of AIXTRON Semiconductor Technologies GmbH, Aachen, Germany and responsible for all compound semiconductor MOCVD product development. He has also been President of AIXTRON AG since 1986, Atlanta GA, USA. He has been president (Vorstand) of AIXTRON AG, Aachen, Germany, since August 1997.
