Saul Henry
Saul Henry, CFA, is Vice President and Investment Director of Wellington Management Company LLP. As an Investment Director in asset allocation product management, Mr. Henry works closely with the asset allocation strategies group to help ensure the integrity of the investment approaches by providing oversight of portfolio positioning, performance and risk exposures, as well as conducting analysis to inform the investment process. He meets with the investment teams on a regular basis, helps with new product development and client solutions, and manages business issues such as capacity, fees and guidelines. He also meets with clients, prospects and consultants to communicate the company’s investment philosophy, strategy, positioning and performance. Prior to joining Wellington Management in 2013, Mr. Henry was the Co-Head of Multi-Asset Research at State Street Global Markets, where he worked in both Boston from 2006 to 2013 and London from 2004 to 2006. Earlier in his career, he worked as an economist and strategist at UBS Investment Bank from 1997 to 2004, and an economist at the Bank of England from 1993 to 1997. Mr. Henry earned his Master of Science in economics and finance from Birkbeck College, London, and his Bachelor of Science in economics and statistics from Exeter University. Brian M. Garvey
Brian M. Garvey is a Senior Managing Director and Asset Allocation Portfolio Manager at Wellington Management Company LLP. Mr. Garvey is a member of the asset allocation strategies group. As an Asset Allocation Portfolio Manager, he contributes to the active asset allocation research effort, with a particular focus on currencies and global fixed income markets. Prior to joining the firm in October 2007, Mr. Garvey was the North American Head of Macro Research at State Street Global Markets. Prior to this, he was a fixed income research analyst at Standish, Ayer & Wood, and a senior currency strategist for I.D.E.A. Mr. Garvey started his professional career at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics as an economist. He has extensive professional experience. Mr. Garvey is a regular participant in the Bank for International Settlements’ emerging markets monitoring group and is a member of the National Association of Business Economists. He received an MBA concentrating in finance and economics from Boston University in 1998, and a B.A. in economics from Colby College in 1991. Profile
