Abhi Talwalkar was appointed LSI Corporation’s President and CEO and elected to the company’s board of directors in May 2005. Since joining LSI Corporation, Mr. Talwalkar has aligned the company with key trends in IT, including the growth of cloud computing, Big Data and social media and the buildout of wireless networks. Mr. Talwalkar joined LSI Corporation in 2005 from Intel Corporation, where he served as Vice President and Co-General Manager of the Digital Enterprise Group, comprised of Intel’s business client, server, storage and communications businesses. Previously, he served as Vice President and General Manager for the Intel Enterprise Platform Group. Prior to joining Intel in 1993, he held senior engineering and marketing management positions at Sequent Computer Systems, Bipolar Integrated Technology Inc. and Lattice Semiconductor Inc. Mr. Talwalkar is a member of the board of directors of Lam Research Corporation. He is also on the board of the Semiconductor Industry Association, where he serves as a member of the U.S. delegation for World Semiconductor Council proceedings. Mr. Talwalkar received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1985.
