Mr. Holtz: Engemann Asset Management has been an investment advisor since 1969, primarily focused on growth stock investing. We manage large cap, small cap and now micro-cap products for our clients. We manage about $500 million in assets today. Our mutual funds include the Phoenix Small-Cap Growth Fund (PAMAX) and the Phoenix All-Cap Growth Fund (PASGX).
TWST: Are micro-caps a new development for your portfolio?
Mr. Lipsker: We incubated the product last year and we started it in September
2006. We started it because our process at Engemann requires fundamental
research of small companies and we were seeing a lot of micro-cap companies'
management teams that would come by our offices with plenty of good investment
ideas that were just too small for our small cap product. We decided to try to
take advantage of that and it's off to a successful start.
