TWST: Please give us an overview of what you're covering at this point in the
healthcare space. Mr. Rampertab: I cover the broad spectrum of healthcare and life sciences
companies. It varies from medical devices to health services to pure biotech
companies. I cover Angiotech (ANPI), Nventa (NVN:TSX), which was formerly called
Stressgen, Theratechnologies (TH:TSX), Imaging Dynamics (IDL:TSX), Medisys
Health Group (MHG_UN:TSX) (a health services company that I actually have a sell
on), LAB International (LAB:TSX), Chemokine Therapeutics (CHKT), Extendicare
(EXE) and Liponex (LPX:TSX), and I will be initiating coverage very soon on
another company called Covalon (COV:TSX.V), which is a medical device company. TWST: Is there a theme, or are they just interesting companies? Mr. Rampertab: They are interesting companies where our clients can make money.
I have diversified myself specifically because when pure play biotechs, i.e.,
therapeutic companies, are out of favor among the investment community, no one
wants to hear about them. But you have some players like health services
companies that generate good revenues, are earnings positive, cash flow
positive, and they listen to those stories. These may not be big return
opportunities, but they are good, steady growth opportunities.
