TWST: Please give us a quick overview of your coverage.
Mr. Nakae: I am the Medical Device Analyst at C.E. Unterberg, Towbin. My
coverage list includes a number of companies that are focused on
cardiovascular diseases. This includes Medtronic (MDT), and St. Jude
Medical (STJ), which make implantable devices to manage cardiac rhythm
disorders, and Greatbatch (GB), which supplies components used in these
implantable devices. Another company, Thoratec (THOR), makes left
ventricular assist devices for end-stage heart failure patients. We also
cover two companies focused on atrial fibrillation. MedicalCV (MCVI)
makes a laser ablation device for surgeons to threat that disease, EP
MedSystems (EPMD) makes the diagnostic equipment used by
electrophysiologists to detect and treat that disease. And we cover one
company, NMT Medical (NMTI), which makes closure devices to treat a
structural defect of the heart know as a patent foramen ovale, or PFO.
Other names in our coverage universe include two companies focused on
urology, specifically the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia,
Urologix (ULGX) and Laserscope (LSCP), which was just acquired by
American Medical Systems (AMMD). We also cover another company in the
aesthetic laser market, Syneron (ELOS). And we cover one company that
manufactures tissue implants used in surgical procedures, Regeneration
Technologies (RTIX). Rounding out our coverage list is a company focused
on RF ablation for nonresectable cancers, RITA Medical (RITA); a company
