I recently initiated on Openwave (OPWV) with a neutral rating. I cover QUALCOMM (QCOM), Motorola (MOT), Brightpoint (CELL), Sierra Wireless (SWIR), Novatel (NVTL) and ID Systems (IDSY).
TWST: From the top down, what do you see going on in this space at this
point?
Mr. Hoffman: The space had a tremendous first quarter. The question is
always how much momentum we will carry into the second quarter. I think
globally, after seven or eight weeks into the quarter, the answer was
that things were pretty good. Now, the one market that we've been active
in highlighting as being off center in our checks has been the US
market. The US market has been slower than the other markets around the
world that we check on.
