TWST: Would you give us an overview of what you do? Mr. Mitchell: ChainDrugStore.net is a Web-based communication network
connecting product manufacturers with the retailers of those products in
the retail pharmacy space. So our pharmaceutical manufacturer customers
include GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and Bristol-Myers
Squibb. In fact, we have 40 Rx manufacturers representing about 45% of
all prescriptions dispensed in the US on a dollar basis on the
ChainDrugStore.net network. On the other side of our network are 200
retailers and wholesalers representing 39,000 stores including CVS, Rite
Aid and Cardinal Health. TWST: Typically on a day, what is the volume of transactions that you
conduct? Mr. Mitchell: ChainDrugStore.net does not execute transactions. We
facilitate the transaction, but we do not execute the transaction. We
are purely an informational vehicle. The way to think about it is that
ChainDrugStore.net is a component of the information supply chain. So we
don't move product, we don't execute transactions, but we help inform
the transaction because our service, the product information that flows
through ChainDrugStore.net, improves the retail buyer's decision making
process.
