Mr. Eller: Centex is a bit unique in that we've been both a residential and commercial builder since our founding in Dallas in 1950. Centex went public in 1969 and has been among the 10 top home builders in the US for 35 years, which is as long as that has been measured. Our primary operation today is home building, both domestically and in the United Kingdom, but we also have significant operations in financial services (both prime and non-prime mortgages), home services (consisting primarily of pest control), and construction services, which consists of building fairly large and significant buildings throughout the US.
TWST: Is the demand for these non-residential projects growing rapidly
at this time?
Mr. Eller: All of our businesses are growing and improving their
operations as well. The home building operation continues to grow
perhaps slightly faster than the rest of the businesses.
