TWST: What is the investment focus at Oberweis Asset Management?
Mr. Oberweis: Oberweis Asset Management is a boutique investment advisory firm which specializes in managing portfolios of small, rapidly growing companies. Our clients include large institutions, high net worth private clients and the many shareholders of The Oberweis Funds, our no-load family of three mutual funds. Our investment strategy seeks to identify small, little-known companies with the potential for explosive growth. Stock valuation also plays an important role in our process. We are careful not to pay more than our estimate of the business' true value. Specifically, we invest only in those firms with p/e ratios no greater than one-half of company's growth rate. Our team began managing money in 1987 with our flagship mutual fund, the Oberweis Emerging Growth Portfolio. Since the inception of the Emerging Growth Portfolio, we have added two additional portfolios, the Oberweis Micro- Cap Portfolio and the Oberweis Mid-Cap Portfolio. The investment strategies employed by these two funds are quite similar to that of the Emerging Growth Portfolio, except that the Micro-Cap Portfolio invests in slightly smaller companies, and the Mid-Cap Portfolio invests in slightly larger companies.

TWST: Who participates in the overall management team?
Mr. Oberweis: At Oberweis, we believe in a team approach toward portfolio management. In addition to myself, our investment team partners include Martin Yokosawa and David Covas, CFA. Martin Yokosawa has worked with us for the last 16 years. He has been with the firm since its inception. David Covas has worked with us for the last six years. Martin is a graduate of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, as am I. David Covas is a holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Our team has been together in its entirety for the last six years and is focused and specialized. Managing portfolios of high-growth, small cap companies is all that we do.
