Dr. Lippa: DOV is focused on the development of drug candidates primarily for central nervous system disorders. We currently have six products in clinical trials, with two in Phase III trials and one about to enter a Phase III trial. Although our most advanced compounds were in-licensed, we have also been successful in discovering novel compounds utilizing a combination of internal and external resources.
TWST: What are the products that you have underway?
Dr. Lippa: We have six that are in clinical trials right now. The most
advanced is indiplon which is being developed by Pfizer and Neurocrine
for sleep disorders. Neurocrine has publicly indicated that they expect
to file an NDA early next year. Our next most advanced is bicifadine,
our product for pain, which is in a Phase III trial. Our product for
anxiety disorders, ocinaplon, is scheduled to enter a Phase III study at
the end of the summer.
