TWST: Would you begin with an overview of your coverage in the interactive entertainment sector?
Mr. Pachter: I cover seven US publishers. There are more, such as Interplay, TDK and BAM! Entertainment, that I don't cover, but they literally are all 0.3 or below. The seven larger US publishers I cover are Electronic Arts (ERTS), Take-Two (TTWO), THQ, Inc. (THQI), Activision (ATVI), Midway (MWY), 3DO (THDO), and Acclaim (AKLM). Acclaim is quickly approaching penny stock status as well, but I think they're viable so I'm continuing to cover them. I also cover the two large specialty retailers of video games, Electronics Boutique (ELBO) and GameStop (GME), and I cover Hollywood Entertainment (HLYW), which is embarking upon a strategy of building out its existing movie rental stores to include something called a Game Crazy department, which looks very similar to GameStop. They're building a store within a store. They've done 270 so far and they'll do 300 more this year, so they'll be half as big a chain as Electronics Boutique by the end of this year. So they're a formidable player. I cover Blockbuster as well. Blockbuster (BBI) is the world's largest renter of video games and they also sell them. So it seemed to me that it was a pretty good fit, and as long as I was covering rental I might as well expand my coverage to include them. That's my coverage as of publication. I will be rolling out on some consumer electronics manufacturers and a few more rental outfits later as well. The sector is probably best described as interactive entertainment, period, if you think about what movies and videos are. All software that is entertainment software ' be it CDs or DVDs or video games ' fits within this category. It's code on a disk that you load into a box and access through your television or your PC for entertainment purposes. I'm interested in picking up Best Buy (BBY) as well, which is a the number two seller of video games, and is also a pretty large seller of music and DVDs.

Tickers included in this excerpt: AKLM, ATVI, BBI, BBY, EIDSY, ELBO, ERTS, GME, HLYW, IFGM, KNM, MSFT, MWY, SNE, THDO, THQI, TTWO, VE
