Mr. Navickas: Centra is a software company that provides software solutions for real-time communication and collaboration. The company started about five years ago in market, automating the training functions of organizations. That is, to keep instructor- led classroom trainers off of airplanes and out of in front of video conferences leveraging the Internet to make that whole learning experience more effective. That was our first collaborative application, automating the training department. Since then we have been in the marketplace essentially equipping people across the extended enterprise with software solutions that let them get their work done faster, better and cheaper.
TWST: What does the target client look like today, and how has
that universe changed or expanded over the past couple of years?
Mr. Navickas: Initially, we targeted the training departments of
the largest companies in the world. More recently what we have
done is we have parlayed that beachhead into a much larger
footprint among the enterprise customers worldwide, equipping
other departments in those organizations. Primarily, we serve the
Global 2000. We have customers among the largest
telecommunications companies in the world, financial services,
hi-tech, pharmaceutical, insurance and many other industries. Our
customer roster is actually approaching 1,000 accounts, and we
serve over 2.3 million licensed end-users. So our user base is
growing nicely, and we recently won Deloitte Consulting's Fast 50
award, saying we're one of the 50 fastest growing companies in
New England. So we are very proud of that achievement.
