TWST: Would you begin with an introduction to Cygnus?
Mr. Hodgman: We develop new and unique technologies for diabetes monitoring, glucose monitoring in particular. We have developed a new series of products that are breakthrough technologies, the first and only approved FDA-approved glucose monitor that provides frequent, automatic and non-invasive glucose monitoring.

TWST: Could you elaborate on how the product actually works?
Mr. Hodgman: The device is a small monitor that looks like a sports watch. It sits on the wrist or forearm area and uses a small amount of energy that sends a force through the skin and then draws from the skin interstitial fluid, which contains glucose. As the glucose comes across the skin, it enters into some glucose pads ' what we call the AutoSensors ' on the back of the watch and creates a chemical reaction, sending out an electrical signal, which we then measure. We calculate the glucose reading through a series of proprietary algorithms and then we report and store that on the device. You can set high and low alerts so the watch will frequently (every 10 minutes) give a reading and let you know where your glucose level is throughout the day or night.
