Which segments of the group do you focus on most closely?
Mr. Koffman: I head up communications equipment research at Raymond
James. We cover the major subsegments, including wireless, wireline
copper/DSL, optical, and cable equipment. On the wireline side, we have
focused on vendors like Lucent (LU), Tellabs (TLAB), ADTRAN (ADTN),
CIENA (CIEN), Sycamore (SCMR), JDS Uniphase (JDSU) and Juniper (JNPR).
In addition, we have a focused effort on access/DSL vendors like Redback
(RBAK), Paradyne (PDYN), etc. On the wireless side we cover a number of
vendors, including Nokia (NOK) and Motorola (MOT). We also cover cable
equipment vendors such as Scientific-Atlanta (SFA) and Concurrent
Computer (CCUR).
