TWST: How do you define imaging at Deutsche Bank?
Mr. Ausnit: Companies in the imaging sector manage visual information and put that information on paper. We're perhaps pretty literal about putting things on paper, but we think it's important for investors to think about printing the images. That's where the money is made.

TWST: What do you include in your coverage?
Mr. Ausnit: In photography I cover Kodak (EK) in America, Pieter Van Gelder covers Agfa in Europe, and Yuichi Fujimoto covers Fuji Photo Film (FUJIY) in Japan. In printing and copying, I cover Xerox (XRX) and George Elling covers Hewlett-Packard (HWP) and Lexmark (LXK) in the United States. Yoshikazu Higurashi covers Ricoh (RICOY) and Canon (CAJ) in Japan. In Europe Peter Reilly covers Heidelberg and Pieter van Gelder covers Oc‚ (OCENY). HP and Lexmark primarily sell printers into the low end of the office market and into the home, whereas Xerox, Oc‚, Canon and Ricoh tend to target higher speed devices, but that is changing. In color printing software and components I cover Electronics for Imaging (EFII) in the US. In mail metering, I cover Pitney Bowes (PBI) in America and Caroline Cohen covers Neopost in France. Lastly, Knut Nilsson and I cover InFocus (INFS), a digital projector maker, and that's the only one that doesn't really do anything with paper.

Tickers included in this excerpt: CAJ, EFII, EK, FUJIY, HWP, INDG, INFS, LXK, OCENY, PBI, RICOY, XRX
