TWST: Would you begin with a brief overview of the history and evolution of Career Education Corporation?
Mr. Larson: The company was started in 1994 to capitalize on the highly fragmented postsecondary education industry. Our vision was to form a company with 'Schools of Choice' that were either number one or number two in their market. As we grew the number of schools and achieved more critical mass, we took the company public in 1998. Today, the company has evolved into the largest provider of private, for-profit, postsecondary education when you look at revenue for brick-and-mortar students.

TWST: Where are you located primarily?
Mr. Larson: We are a global company with schools, colleges and universities across the United States and Canada. We also have campuses in England and the United Arab Emirates.

TWST: Would you explain your offerings in terms of curriculum?
Mr. Larson: Our colleges enjoy long operating histories and offer career-oriented programs in the curricula of: visual communication and design technologies; information technology; business studies; and culinary arts. We offer a wide variety of master's, bachelor's and associate's degree and diploma programs.
