Bank of the Ozarks, Inc. (Nasdaq:OZRK);

Five analysts and top management from twenty-five sector firms examine the eastern regional banks sector in this special 127-page Eastern Regional Banks issue from The Wall Street Transcript, available at (212/952-7433) or http://www.twst.com/info/info481.htm.

“It might not really be an Eastern bank, but I have to highlight Bank of the Ozarks in Arkansas,” notes a leading industry analyst. “They are a small bank that just reported earnings this morning for the fourth quarter. Bank of the Ozarks is very small cap, about $100 million with about $800 million in assets. They just keep beating estimates. We keep raising estimates and Bank of the Ozarks just keeps beating them. It is the craziest thing. Bank of the Ozarks’ stock price got beaten down to about $10 or $11 in late 2000 because they had a single relationship that involved some fraud on the part of the borrower. The Street saw that and said, “Oh no. Here it comes. Bank of the Ozarks is going to implode.” That never happened. They got the loan out of the bank and have since been posting some of the best quality numbers we’ve seen. Today, Bank of the Ozarks’ stock has been trading at about $28.5. They have had a nice little run and I still think they are undervalued. They are trading at about nine or 10 times forward earnings."
