Mr. McMullen: OMNOVA Solutions is a company that was created two years ago. It was spun off from GenCorp in October 1999 to create two separate, publicly traded companies, GenCorp and OMNOVA Solutions. Today OMNOVA Solutions is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol OMN. We are about an 800 million company in terms of revenue. We are comprised of two different business segments, Decorative & Building Products, which is a functional and decorative surfaces business that makes up about 60% of our revenue, and Performance Chemicals, which makes up the remaining 40%. In Decorative &Building Products, there are four primary businesses: commercial wallcovering, decorative laminates, coated fabrics, and commercial single-ply roofing. In our Performance Chemicals business we focus on the paper and paperboard marketplace, carpet and textiles, and a wide variety of specialty chemical markets, including construction, floor care and nonwoven materials. The businesses that make up OMNOVA Solutions have been in operation for decades, having originated with General Tire and Rubber prior to GenCorp. In terms of my background, I've been with the company for approximately four years. I was the President of the Decorative & Building Products business segment prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer of the company, and then was named CEO and Chairman. Prior to that I spent about six years with General Electric, and before that about six years with McKinsey & Company.
TWST: Are you operating out of one key plant, one location? Where are
the offices? Where are the manufacturing sites?
Mr. McMullen: We're headquartered in Fairlawn, Ohio, and have 30
facilities in nine countries. We operate manufacturing facilities all
throughout the United States and in England, Thailand and mainland
China.
