TWST: Could we begin with a brief overview of the history and evolution of Eagle Wireless International, Inc?
Dr. Cubley: Eagle Wireless is now operating under the name of Eagle Broadband. We are officially changing our name at the end of the year when we do our stockholder proxy vote. But for now, officially out there on the stock exchange, we're still shown as Eagle Wireless. The main reason for the change is the tremendous amount of growth and change in the profile of the company over the last year. From a background standpoint, Eagle Wireless was in the wireless infrastructure business for years, providing high-power RF equipment to large carriers nationwide and worldwide. When that business began to slow down in the late 1990s, in the 1997-1998 time period, Eagle decided to diversify and broaden its base. We took the first step in 1998 by setting up BroadbandMagic, a subsidiary that specialized in set-top boxes, Internet appliance-type products. Today, that part of our company is focused on advanced set-top boxes and their multimedia applications. Our primary markets are in the business-to-business sector as well as the hospitality industry. Eagle Broadband then acquired atlanticpacific, that, in turn acquired Comtel. Both companies were in the last mile cable and fiber business, and that gave Eagle Broadband a service side. atlanticpacific does installation of Category 5 cabling and wiring in the commercial and industrial markets. Sprint PCS is one of the better- known customers that atlanticpacific is servicing right now. They are rewiring all of the Sprint PCS stores in the US for high-performance cabling. atlanticpacific has a very broad spectrum of customers, including refineries, nuclear power plants and commercial buildings of all kinds. Next Eagle acquired a company called etoolz in San Antonio, Texas. etoolz is a high-tech development, R&D-type company. That company has now been moved to Houston and it is the framework under which all the R&D for all of our different subsidiaries is done. The most recent change in the company profile is the merger with ClearWorks.net. That gave the company a fiber-optic, fiber-to-the-home service side of the business, and that's one of the fastest-growing parts of our business right now. We provide a complete package of high-speed Internet, security monitoring, 200+ channels of television/music, and local/long distance telephone service over this fiber. Currently, each home that we pass is provided 10 megabits per second of Internet connectivity, which to my knowledge is far in excess of anything that any other provider is making available for Internet connectivity. We compete with the cable companies, we compete with the phone companies and we compete with the Internet service providers, but we have an advantage in that we provide this complete package of services. All the homeowner has to do is sign up with ClearWorks and they get a single bill for all of these different products and services. That's the reason the company has elected to change its name. We believe that Eagle Broadband better reflects the current structure of the company and the current business plan.
