The generics business, which was recently re-branded as Sandoz, had a sales leap to USD 1463 million, due to strong performance in the US and the consolidation of Lek which we acquired earlier this year. For the first half of the year sales in the medical nutrition unit climbed to USD 401 million, the infant and baby division achieved sales of USD 664 million, and CIBA Vision sales increased to USD 627 million.
Geographically the US is our largest market with 42% of our sales generated in this region. Europe accounts for 36% of our sales, followed by Asia, Australia, and Africa with 15% and the rest of the Americas with 7%.
