Mr. Gullo: Lucas Educational systems is a public entity trading under the symbol LCSE. We are an educational content developer with exclusive rights to a proprietary accelerated learning methodology that has the potential to change the way people learn. From an organizational perspective, we leverage strategic alliances and technology to develop and distribute content without becoming capital intensive; and unlike the so-called new economy startups, we are serving established markets. Our vision is to change the way people learn through what we call 'Learning That Lasts.' This is a key attribute of our methodology which removes rote memorization from the learning process. Our proprietary content was developed in conjunction with NBA legend and memory expert Jerry Lucas. It has been under development in excess of 25 years and has been tested and optimized based on results from over 4 million unit sales made to date.
TWST: What are some of the subjects that you're offering?
Mr. Gullo: We literally have access to a lifetime of content and can
rapidly adapt it to so many needs that it is sometimes hard to
articulate them in a summary fashion. In the K-8 space, for example, we
are developing products to help children learn to read and write and
introduce them to the alphabet. We are currently marketing products to
help students learn the Presidents of the United States, rules of
grammar and punctuation, and to memorize the math times tables. My
daughter, who is six, can name for you the first 20 Presidents in order,
forward or backward, for example. She learned to do this in under two
hours. Her 13'year'old sitter picked up a copy of the same book and in
30 minutes memorized the names of all the Presidents of the United
States and has not forgotten them 'and that was several months ago. For
older children and adults we have a Spanish foreign language program. We
also have a number of Bible study aids out today. Jerry is a born'again
Christian, and at one point he used the techniques to memorize the New
Testament and has stood up and quoted the entire New Testament from
memory on a couple of different occasions.
