TWST: What do you include in your coverage at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray?
Mr. Kumar: My focus is in three interconnected segments. The first is semiconductors, computer- and communication-centric, both wired and wireless vendors. The second area is enterprise computing, which includes PC and infrastructure vendors. The last area is storage, which includes all the participants in the fibre channel storage area network.

TWST: Do the drivers that you associate with the three segments have a common thread?
Mr. Kumar: The common thread between them is that they participate in different stacks of the IT infrastructure pipeline.

TWST: Is the business cycle the same?
Mr. Kumar: We have witnessed a number of semiconductor cycles, a leading indicator of demand (or lack of), since the mid-1970s. Currently the drivers of demand are the same across the three segments ' wireless handsets, computer hardware and infrastructure hardware.
