Dr. Warnock: Adobe was founded in December of 1982, very close to sort of the advent of the popular personal computer. Our focus over our entire career has been in building digital content for printing, publishing, the Web and broadcasting. Over the years, our customer base has included probably all of the graphic artists in the world, everyone who produces content for mass distribution. Probably every catalogue, every newspaper, every magazine, every TV commercial, every movie, every Website on the planet uses our stuff.
TWST: What are the most significant trends, developments and changes and
so forth you anticipate in your marketplace over the next several years?
Dr. Warnock: There is a real convergence of media going onto the Web.
Broadcast is moving to the Web; print publishing documents and products
are moving to the Web. There is a new authoring paradigm being built and
this is causing a great deal of turmoil in the
printing/publishing/content/distribution businesses.
