TWST: Could you begin by giving us a brief overview of Maxtor?
Mr. Cannon: Maxtor is the fastest growing company in the hard disk drive industry. Over the past two years, we have established an excellent track record of bringing leading new products to market ahead of our competition while delivering the industry's highest levels of quality and reliability. Maxtor's growth has been primarily the result of our success in winning business, then earning share at the world's largest PC manufacturers. We also have a strong retail business and are looking to expand our presence in the distribution market. Over the period, we have been focused solely on the desktop hard disk drive market, but we have a server product in development that will expand our market coverage.

TWST: And how long has Maxtor been growing like this?
Mr. Cannon: I've been the CEO of the company for about two and a half years. The last two years have really seen the resurgence of Maxtor. During that period, we increased our market share for desktop disk drives from under 6% to 17% at the end of 1998.
