TWST: Please begin with an overview of Commercial Vehicle Group.
Mr. Dunn: The major value we provide are cab-related solutions for those in the heavy-truck and construction vehicle industry. Basically we focus on the cab itself, anything that goes on the cab or inside it. We are the largest seat producer in North America for commercial vehicles and heavy trucks. We are the largest in the world for medium- and heavy-duty construction seating. We also have a specialty harness seat for fire trucks and military applications. CVG is recognized for being well operated, and designing and selling cab-related solutions, especially in the area of highly engineered and complex items. We also have three or four of the best brand names in the industry: Sprague Devices for products such as our wiper systems for commercial vehicles; KAB for construction vehicle seating; Moto Mirror, which produces mirrors for commercial vehicles; and National Seating for truck seats. Around 83% to 86% of the top 100 fleets in the nation put National seats into to their commercial trucks. Unlike buying a car, when purchasing a truck, the customer can specify which brand of seat he or she wants in the vehicle. In the truck business, the buyer can select the transmission, motor, seat, etc., that the he or she wants. And seats are a very big issue because the driver is sitting on it for eight hours or so. We also make the materials and systems located behind the seating area in sleeper units, and those can be pretty complex. In the construction end markets, I'd say our two biggest items are the seating system, especially in Europe, and wire harnesses. We also make a 24-hour office chair. These are for dispatchers, police and fire personnel, those who need to be comfortable for long periods. These chairs find use in control towers and things like that.
