Mr. DiBella: EVTN has its beginnings as a high-precision manufacturing company. We manufactured high-precision parts for aerospace, defense and automotive industries. With the profits from that business and our manufacturing expertise, we developed and patented an advanced fluid separation technology called the Voraxial Separator, and that's now our primary business. The Voraxial Separator is a very efficient, high-volume separation device that separates contaminants or valuable components, such as oil and solids, from water. What differentiates our product from the market is the Voraxial's ability to process a large volume of liquids with a significantly smaller footprint, less energy, weight, maintenance and space than other separation technologies, which spans across many large industries and applications. We can also offer performance features beyond the capabilities of major competitive systems, such as separation without a pressure drop requirement, and simultaneous three-way separation of liquids and solids.
These are significant benefits to the separation market. Competitive technologies available to process a large flow without high pressure are basically tanks or exotic tanks, such as air flotation systems. These tanks are usually extremely large in size and need a considerable amount of time for the separation to occur. The efficiency of the Voraxial provides an economic benefit to the customer while filling the void in the market - that is the ability to separate a large volume of liquids in real time and in a more economical manner. This requirement exists in almost every industry, including oil, mining, municipal wastewater, food processing, manufacturing, pulp and paper, biofuels, etc. This is why major companies in diverse industries have purchased or are now evaluating product from EVTN. Although we recently commenced the commercialization of the Voraxial, we have already sold product for large global applications, such as produced water, mining, deckwater drainage, tar sands, waste-to-energy, oil spill, stormwater and refinery.
