TWST: What is Single Touch Systems?
Mr. Macaluso: We're a messaging platform that provides mobile marketing services to big-box retailers and large consumer brands. Our proprietary system is something that is really shaping up. We believe it's shaping the future of how brands communicate with the customers, and it's showing tremendous results.

TWST: Give us an idea of what the market is today from your perspective. What are the dynamics?
Mr. Macaluso: Today the market for messaging to consumers from retailers and big brands, excluding the way Single Touch handles messaging, has been a little bit of a mystery because there has not been a clean and scalable way to reach 240 million cell phone users out there. There has been a two-legged bar stool, and there hasn't been really a uniform way that gives messages to consumers in the exact same way. By way of an example, if a retailer wants to give you a message to your phone and I have a different model phone or a different carrier, messaging to each one of those phones respectively can be challenging. So it's very difficult for a retailer to put out a consistent mobile message today to all consumers. So it's not like a print ad, where you can throw it out and say, "Hey, go buy a box of Tide." They have to say, "Okay, if you're on a Verizon phone and you want to get a special box of Tide, do this. If you're on an AT&T phone, do this." So I think that's the way the retail market is today. We are taking part, leading the charge really on changing how it all operates. And we simplify the process so a single message can be sent out from a retailer and applied to every single mobile telephone in the U.S.
