TWST: Please give us a brief overview of Wipro, including a bit of history.
Mr. Vaswani: Wipro is a global IT and IT-enabled services company publicly listed in India and in America on the New York Stock Exchange. Wipro Ltd., the parent company, is involved in other businesses that include engineering, clean technology, consumer goods, furniture and lighting. These businesses focus primarily on the Indian domestic market. We also have a presence in the medical equipment industry, on its infrastructure side; this is a joint venture with General Electric, GE. However, a large part of our business' revenue and profitability comes from IT services, which is spread across the globe. Talking about Wipro Technologies specifically, the services we offer to customers globally are quite broad. These services include application integration, application management services, which incorporate infrastructure integration, infrastructure management, business process outsourcing, consulting, R&D software development and embedded systems services. The U.S. is a major market for us, contributing close to 60% of our total revenue as it relates to IT services. We have approximately 100,000 employees and growing, with headquarters in India and a presence in 54 countries across the world.

TWST: Would you tell us which industries most require your services? Does customer size matter to you?
Mr. Vaswani: Like I said before, we have a broad-based services portfolio, and virtually all industries need the services we provide. Therefore, we are segmented in terms of our approach and business units in various verticals. I am going to list the major industries and also give you a look into the new verticals we are looking at presently. We work with finance customers through our banking finance unit, or, as we call it, BFSI SBU. We provide services for customers in the manufacturing, energy and utility industries; we also provide solutions for the technology and telecommunications equipment industries as well. Recently, we have started to invest in the global health care and government sectors. This is a relatively new focus, while the rest of the business units have been our traditional areas of concentration. To sum up the discussion of our industries, Wipro addresses a wide variety of industries, and we are able to do so because of the width of our services portfolio. We are focused on all of our vertical business units and continue to build up our domain each day to thus increase business advisory capabilities.
