TWST: Would you start with a history and an overview of PeopleSupport? Mr. Hargittay: PeopleSupport was founded in 1998 to service dot-com companies
and over time has evolved into more of a leading BPO (business process
outsourcing) company that offers a broad range of services. These services
include customer service, transcription and captioning, accounts receivable
management, as well as additional back office management services. PeopleSupport
essentially provides people intensive services. We have over 7,000 employees in
the Philippines, several hundred employees in Costa Rica, and more than 100 in
the US. Our professionals provide a very high performance outsourcing service
to clients. TWST: As you look out, who is the target customer for the services you're
offering? Mr. Hargittay: Our target customers are large companies that require a lot of
complex interaction with their clients, whether it's voice-based, over the web
or back-office oriented. We prefer companies that really value their customers.
It's key to have a very good interaction with them. PeopleSupport provides a
high quality service and it's important that our clients view our interaction
with their customers as a very valuable interaction. This approach allows us to
build long-term strategic relationships. We want to become more of a partner for
our clients as opposed to just another vendor. We usually work with clients
where we can be their number one or number two provider, and that allows us to
work very closely with them and essentially become an extension of their
company.
