TWST: What is inVentiv Health?
Mr. Broshy: inVentiv Health is the leading provider of outsourced services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. We provide a broad range of clinical, communications, and commercial services and support to over 200 unique pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences companies. We have done so as a public company now for over seven years, and are well positioned as the market leader across the broad range of services that we provide.

TWST: Would you give us an idea of what that competitive landscape is and the client space is as well? What's the differentiator from the clients' perspective?
Mr. Broshy: Our clients are today facing a number of critical challenges (which include weaker drug development pipelines, a difficult FDA regulatory approval environment, more challenging pricing, and more competition across therapeutic classes), and are under pressure to develop and launch more new, differentiated drugs faster and with greater success than they ever have before. We believe that in this environment, working in a more outsourced model and one that leverages the expertise, the scale, and the capabilities of a company like inVentiv provides our clients with both better quality and more flexibility than if they were to provide all of these capabilities internally, as well as better economics. So high quality, enhanced flexibility, and better economics is the key value proposition we offer our clients. We have seen continued strong growth across our businesses as our clients realize the value and the benefits from working in a more virtual environment, where they don't need to build all of their infrastructure internally. With regard to our competitive landscape, our single largest competition is a client deciding whether to carry out some of these functionalities internally, rather than outsourcing. In addition, there are, of course, other service providers that we compete against in each of our broad service lines. However, none of our direct competitors has the breadth, the range of services, and the depth of capabilities that we bring to our clients. And that has translated into a high win rate, strong growth, and market leadership for us.
