Mr. Hidalgo: WPCS is a design-build engineering company that focuses on the implementation requirements of wireless technology. WPCS and its staff of highly qualified engineers can design, deploy, and maintain wireless networks for two- way radio communication, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, fixed wireless, RFID, mesh networks, and cellular networks. The company is divided into two segments. The wireless infrastructure segment focuses on services for commercial cellular carriers such as Sprint Nextel, Verizon, Cingular, and T-Mobile. This segment represents approximately 20% of our revenue production. The specialty communication segment represents approximately 80% of our revenue. This segment focuses on the deployment of wireless technology for vertical sectors such as gaming, public safety, and health care. In this segment, WPCS has established a stellar customer base that includes, in public safety, Amtrak, CALTRANS, the New Jersey State Police, the Connecticut State Police, and the New York Department of Transportation. In gaming, our customers include Bally's, Caesar's, Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods, and the Seminole Indian Nation. And in health care, our customers include Wake Forest Medical Center, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Amcare. In addition, WPCS has many corporate enterprise customers including GE, Federal Express, UPS, Safeway, and Lockheed Martin, just to name a few.
TWST: What is the agenda for the company at this point? What are your priorities
for the next 12 to 24 months?
Mr. Hidalgo: Our goal is to establish our company as the recognized leader in
engineering services for wireless infrastructure and specialty communication
systems, especially, in the specialty communication sector, where we apply
wireless technology to specific vertical sectors that gain immediate
productivity through the implementation of wireless technology. We want to
continue to open up these vertical sectors and continue to establish our company
on a national and international basis.
