TWST: We would like to begin with a brief historical sketch of Theratechnologies and a picture of the things you're doing at the present time.Mr. Rosconi: The company was founded 13 years ago and went public in early 1994. Over time, it developed many technologies focusing on endocrinology and metabolism for pharmaceuticals. We have advanced the lead compound into Phase III. We expect to get the results of our first Phase III program around the end of 2006.
TWST: Would you tell us what this main compound is all about?
Mr. Rosconi: It's a growth hormone secretory drug. Our code name is TH9507, and
this compound is studied for an unmet medical need called lipodystrophy
associated with HIV treatment. There is only one other large company in Europe
involved in this particular indication. They are studying the drug for the same
type of patient population. They have completed their Phase III program and are
about to file their sNDA for the drug.
