TWST: Please begin with a brief historical sketch of the company and a picture of the things you are doing at the present time.
Mr. Hemer: We make production equipment for the semiconductor industry. That is, we make equipment that's used to make computer chips. We've been in business for over 20 years and grew out of another similar equipment manufacturer in our area of the United States. We service customers throughout the world. More than half of our equipment is shipped to overseas destinations where our customers have facilities. Our customers are generally quite large international companies such as Intel, AMD, Texas Instruments, and Sony, to name a few of the more well known players in the semiconductor industry.

TWST: What is the competitive landscape like, and what are your competitive advantages?
Mr. Hemer: We have plenty of competition. I wish that we had less, but our industry is populated by a relatively large number of relatively small companies providing equipment to the semiconductor industry. Our equipment has features that we believe put us in a competitive advantage to our competition. The kind of equipment that we sell is largely automation equipment and as such, it helps bring productivity to other pieces of equipment, and in that way reduces the overall cost of producing computer chips. One of our competitive advantages is the speed with which we can pass devices through different processes.
