TWST: Would you give us a brief historical sketch of the company and a picture of the things you are doing at the present time?
Mr. Dutton: Mattson Technology is a global semiconductor capital equipment supplier to the industry's leading integrated circuit manufacturers. We were founded in 1988 and went public in 1994. The company does approximately over $200 million in revenues with about 600 employees worldwide. We are a leader in plasma stripping and rapid thermal processing (or RTP) and are currently taking our existing technologies and expanding them into close segments. We are leveraging those technologies to help increase our total available market by about 3 times and are building on our market share programs to double our revenue over the next few years.

TWST: What is the competitive landscape like?
Mr. Dutton: In plasma stripping, a process that is repeated about 20 to 30 times when building an integrated circuit, we are number one globally with about 25% share. Our nearest competitor has about 24% share. The rest of the competition is more segmented and localized to specific regions. In rapid thermal processing, there are really only two global players, one of which is Mattson with about 20% share. The other is the largest company in our space with over 60% of the RTP market.
