TWST: What is Surge Components?
Mr. Levy: We are a supplier of electronic component products, more specifically capacitors, diodes, coils and audible products ' audible products meaning buzzers and speakers. We have been in business for 26 years. We are headquartered in Deer Park, New York, although we are a global operation with multiple sales offices throughout Asia. Geographically, Asia is our fastest growing region. This is because, after major manufacturers of electronic products do the design work here in America, many of them transfer their manufacturing and purchasing to low cost labor regions within Asia. We are in a growth mode right now. We are enthusiastic about the future of the electronics industry and the demand for our kinds of products.

TWST: What does the marketplace look like? What are the strengths out there? How does that play into what you have with current products and your strategies? Is it a good market? Is it a growing market?
Mr. Levy: It is a good market and it is a growing market. It's a changing market, particularly in the areas I mentioned before. The business has become more complex because of the multiple operation sites needed to service the customers globally, although the market in general is still a good one. The demand for components in the consumer segment, whether that be audio, telecom, or other, is still growing and increasing. Certainly, there are demands by customers on price ' pressures on price to keep costs as low as possible. We are continually looking to improve the efficiency of our operation to be able to pass on any cost reductions we can to our customers. We act as the sales and marketing office for our factories, all of which are in Asia and empower us and designate us as their sales and marketing office for this continent, North America ' actually for any North American base customer, even if they end up manufacturing in Asia.
