TWST: What is Norsat International?
Mr. Coyne: Norsat International is a company that has been in existence for 27 years, and we are headquartered in Burnaby, British Columbia. We are involved in the microwave satellite component business and the satellite terminal business.

TWST: What has been the history of the company? What are some of the more recent and significant changes?
Mr. Coyne: The company got started marketing microwave satellite components to a number of distributors for microwave satellite components around the globe. We parlayed that into a position in marketing home satellite dishes and have since migrated to leveraging and building off our strength in microwave satellite components to help design terminals to meet the needs of both the government and commercial markets.

TWST: What does the customer space look like today? What's changing or evolving about their needs and how you address them?
Mr. Coyne: The clients are constantly looking for more bandwidth, more efficiency and more compactness. They are looking for more bandwidth, because as data requirements grow, they need a better capability to send and receive data remotely. They are looking for more efficiency because clients are always looking for inexpensive solutions with which to meet their needs. They are looking for more compactness because clients want to have a great deal more flexibility in where they can locate their terminal business, especially clients in the military space.
