TWST: We'd like to begin with a brief historical sketch of the company
and a picture of the things you're doing at the present time. Dr. DiPentima: Dr. Ernst Volgenau founded SRA in 1978, and the company
is now entering its 28th year in business. Over the years, SRA has
undergone a number of stages in its development, and we have evolved
into a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services
and solutions to clients in national security, civil government, and
health care and public health. We became a public company on May 24,
2002 (NYSE: SRX). SRA now has nearly 5,000 employees in over 100
offices around the country. Our revenue in Fiscal Year 2006 was $1.18
billion. SRA currently serves over 250 federal government clients on
over 750 active engagements. We are well positioned in an excellent
market ' we have a diverse client base; a stable and deep management
team; a strong backlog and robust business pipeline, a high business win
rate, and a broad contract portfolio. TWST: Your main customer is the federal government? Dr. DiPentima: Revenue from contracts with the federal government
accounts for 99% of SRA's business.
