TWST: Would you give us a brief historical sketch of the company and a
picture of things as they are now? Mr. Raj Soin as an Air Force services company. MTC grew exclusively by
organic growth until 2002, when the company made its first acquisition.
Since then, we have made a number of acquisitions and continued our
history of organic growth. Today, the company does about $450 million in
revenue. Although we started out as an Air Force services company, today
the Air Force represents about 50% of our business. We do about 30% of
our business with what we call land forces customers, which would be the
Army and the Marine Corps. Another 20% of our business is with national
security customers, primarily classified work. In recent years, MTC has
seen a significant migration in the types of services that MTC provides.
Initially, we started off primarily as a staff augmentation company,
wherein we provided people to our customers to help them administer
their own processes and procedures. Today, while that is still a very
significant part of our business, almost 50% of our business is
delivering a complete solution to our customer. An example of that
might be an aircraft upgrade, wherein the customer comes to us seeking a
technology insertion or other modification on perhaps an F16, a C130, or
an MH-53 helicopter. MTC performs the necessary engineering, specifies
and acquires any needed hardware, supervises the installation and
delivers the customer an aircraft upgraded to their specifications. TWST: Would you give one or two examples of other solutions that you
provide? Mr. Gutridge: Another type of solution would be providing the customer
with an entire functional area. For instance, we might provide the
entire data center services for the customer; they don't have any of
their own personnel working with us; we run the data center for them, we
provide software upgrades, we take care of the equipment, we take care
of their personnel's enquiries to the help desk, and so on. Thus MTC is
providing the total solution. An example of a total solution from MTC's
Land Forces Group, involves services we provide our troops returning
from being deployed to war. When they return with their equipment, it is
vital that it be timely evaluated, repaired and upgraded as needed, and
reset so that it is ready to go back to war. MTC has proprietary
software that we use to help evaluate and reset land forces vehicles in
connection with this total solution.
