I came to know the Chairman of this company because I was the consultant for one of his projects. And because the project went very well and was highly praised by the local government, he wanted me to join the company. After a few months of being an advisor, I became the CEO. That is my background.
TWST: You have mentioned the difficulties in generating interest
among U.S. investors in development or real estate ownership in
China. What are some of the key issues that you think they see as
barriers, and do those really exist?
So, of course, in the normal Western way, if you put up the whole
investment, the profit margin is not so great. But if you know
how to play the leverage, if you have the contractor financing
the construction, and if you use solid tactical marketing
approaches, then it is just a minimum amount of money that one
needs to invest.
