Mr. Degen: Nortech is an electronics contract manufacturing company that has been in existence since the mid-1980s. In 1990, as the result of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, the company was reorganized and re-emerged as Nortech Systems from its previous name, which was Digigraphic Systems. We specialize in cables, wire harnesses, printed circuit board assemblies and electronic box builds. Our specialty is low volume, high mix, high value added, from design engineering and supply chain management.
TWST: Because you're low volume and because it's somewhat high tech, is
it more practical for you to do most of your manufacturing close to
home?
Mr. Degen: Yes. The majority of our manufacturing output comes from our
US sites; however, we do have sites available in Mexico and China.
