TWST: What is Verso Technologies?
Mr. Bannerman: Verso Technologies is a next-generation technology company. It's been around since 2000, when it was formed to essentially acquire a set of technologies that provided an end-to-end next- generation platform for service providers. Since then, we've evolved into a technology company that specializes in particular niches within high-growth segments in the telecom sector, in particular a technology that plays in the VoIP prepaid, the GSM cellular network environment, as well as other wireless areas like WiMAX and the satellite sector. The company has a group of technologies that are particularly well suited for developing markets that are interested in deploying next-generation technologies to uplift their economies. So we are very active in developing regions such as sub-Saharan Africa, India, Southeast Asia and Latin America.

TWST: Who do you see as your customer? How much of a relationship do you have with that group?
Mr. Bannerman: Given the fact that we're a relatively small NASDAQ company, we have to rely on indirect distribution. So we have a very well developed distribution channel of organizations that are multinational, major systems integrators, VARs and original equipment manufacturers, as well as regional equipment distributors in the regions that we are active, but we don't leave it at that. In all of our most important markets, we have a physical presence with both the sales and engineering resources on the ground to both help hunt out new opportunities with the ultimate customer and to support the distributor and the end-user customer directly. Our customers are primarily service providers, whether they are an incumbent in a place like Africa, where we count Telkom South Africa as one of our more important customers, to the emerging providers in these regions, like all the new service providers that are forming in places like India, Africa and Southeast Asia. We are principally focused on the service provider community and do very little business with the end-user customer.
