TWST: May we start with a thumbnail sketch of your company and a short history?
Mr. Shaikh: Validity was founded in the year 2000 in Boxborough, Massachusetts. Our headquarters is in San Jose, CA and we have about 30 employees. Our engineering team is located in Phoenix, Arizona.

TWST: Could you elaborate on your products and their functions?
Mr. Shaikh: Validity supplies the biometrics industry with the world's most durable Fingerprint Sensors. There are other competing Biometrics technologies like Retina Scan, Facial Recognition, Speech Recognition, and others; but, the most cost effective and the least intrusive biometric solution is fingerprint sensors.

TWST: Where are these sensors used?
Mr. Shaikh: The most popular application at this time is in PC computers, especially in notebook computers. But, of course, for higher end security, government organizations such as the FBI also use fingerprint scanners and so on; but, we are primarily focusing only on the commercial side. The notebook computer is our biggest focus at this time. Mobility devices such as cell phones are also getting a lot of attraction at this time. Other areas of use for fingerprint sensors include, but are not limited do, storage devices, USB dongles and peripherals, and door locks.
