TWST: We'd like to begin with a brief historical sketch of the company and a picture of things as they are now.
Mr. Chakmak: The company really started in 1974, back then known as the Boyd Group, with our first property, the California Hotel and Casino, here in Las Vegas. In 1993, the company completed its IPO, and in that 19-year period we grew to six properties in total, all in Las Vegas. Today, we have 18 properties in total in six different states, and we have a 19th currently under construction here in Las Vegas. So it's a much more substantial company, obviously, than when originally started in 1974, but we're still well-grounded in the original founding roots of the company and the direction and view on both employees and customers that got us to where it is today.

TWST: What were the drivers of your success?
Mr. Chakmak: From a customer standpoint, we view our customers as key relationships and long-term relationships, and you can see that by the significant repeat business that we've been able to maintain at all of our properties. From an employee standpoint, the founding focus on integrity and employee relations is still key. That commitment leads to the forefront of how we look to work with everyone that's part of this company, to make it a much better place and a good place for employees to spend many years. You can see that in the number of years that so many of our employees have been involved with the company. You can see the 20- and 30-year anniversaries of many employees, which really speaks to the roots of the company.
