TWST: Can we start with an overview of International Game Technology and kind of how you position the company at this point?Mr. Rogich: IGT is one of the leading providers of gaming equipment and systems products in North America and worldwide. We are an international company with offices in Australia, Japan, Europe, the United States, and Canada, and we serve all forms of gaming activity from traditional casino locations to government-run video lottery markets to some of the international markets such as the pachisuro market in Japan.
TWST: In general terms, what's going on in the marketplace? Is this
still a strong growth market?
Mr. Rogich: The market grew recently with some new markets coming online
and had a very strong replacement cycle that was escalated by the
success of the ticket-in/ticket-out products. So we saw a big uptick
with the major players in domestic North America converting their floors
to ticket-in/ticket-out and buying a lot of new equipment. So the
replacement cycle was accelerated, and we are now seeing a flattening of
that replacement cycle acceleration.
