Mr. Reitenbach: Wilkinson O'Grady is a global asset manager, which was founded in 1972. It manages global equity, global balanced and domestic (U.S.) equity and international (non-U.S.) equity for individuals and institutional clients. Our mission is to build long-term wealth for our clients. We focus on companies, industries and geographic areas of the world economy that are producing the most sustainable long-term growth. We invest in businesses with outstanding financial characteristics, leading management teams and enduring market opportunities. We are a team of 10 investment professionals supported by a client service group of 18. Total assets under management as of Sept. 30, 2009, were approximately $1.9 billion.
Our investment philosophy is anchored in two basic ideas: identifying enduring global economic themes that point to where returns on capital are rising on a sustainable basis and rigorously practicing fundamental security analysis to invest in companies benefiting from these themes. Our investment horizon is three to five years.
I am a member of the investment committee, and I make suggestions for the team. I also benefit from their ideas. Based on my 40-plus years of experience, I structure international portfolios to meet the objectives of clients.
