Mr. Sowanick: Clear-brook Partners is a wealth management firm located here in Princeton, New Jersey. Clearbrook Partners is derived from the holding company, that we were part of, which was Clearbrook Financial. We have spun off from Clearbrook Financial, formed Clearbrook Partners and have decided to further disassociate ourselves from the Clearbrook name and have officially changed our name to Omnivest Group LLC. There are three Founding Partners in the firm; Frits Besselaar, Christopher "Goose" Henderson, and myself (Tom Sowanick). Our specialty is working with high net worth individuals or family offices, endowments, and pension funds to the extent that they are middle market in size.
TWST: What are the products that you present to your clients?
Mr. Sowanick: The products are a holistic view of the markets and the goals of the client as opposed to looking at trying to outperform the market. For example, when we bring on a client, it's typically because they have a goal that they are trying to reach and we create portfolios that help to meet those goals. For example, an endowment that has a spend rate of 5% plus inflation would become the objective of the portfolio or you could have a high net worth family that has an 8% cash flow need per annum and does not want to invade principal. We believe that our approach is different because we don't start out by saying we can outperform the market by 30 or 40 basis points per annum. Again that's not our objective. Our goal is to provide portfolio service for clients and meet their objectives.
