TWST: Would you talk a bit about Cooper & Associates and your background?
Mr. Cooper: I'm a CPA, and I initially did my training with Coopers & Lybrand. I ended up in the Boston office. Beginning in 1983, I owned and operated a funeral home in Kittery, Maine, for about 15 years. I went to mortuary school in Miami. I'm a funeral director (my license is inactive right now) and a CPA. I currently work with approximately 75 funeral homes from Maine to California. Some of the funeral homes own cemeteries, but I do not specialize in cemeteries.

TWST: Who is your typical client in terms of size, how many families they serve and theie typical number of staff members?
Mr. Cooper: It's varied. I do a lot of acquisitions and mergers, so I have start-up clients, and I also have funeral homes with multiple locations, handling over 500 to 600 calls. In terms of staff, it's all the way from one sole proprietor up to approximately 25 employees.
